If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRecently one of our rats became very ill with a respriatory disease and a large tumor. My husband took her to be put to sleep at All Kinds. He was very upset. The vets there were very kind, they let him pay in the back and were very sincere. A few days later we received a sympathy card "in loving memory of your pet" also a small heart-shaped plaster cast of our deceased rats feet! It was very sweet and while I am unsure as to whether this is regular practice or an extra effort brought on by my husbands singular outpouring of grief, it was much apprieciated.

I had a visit with 2 of my animals recently. Both on seperate days with different health issues. I am quite knowledgable about my animals and the vet came off a bit condescending. I felt I was treated like an idiot and she was just not 'getting' me. I felt my animal had a certain health problem, she was assuring me it was nothing, and it turned out I was right. They do seem to offer good care otherwise, I just wish they didn't assume someone doesn't know a thing about their animals!

If you are not a Vet yourself, then you would not have issues with them. They are the best in town.
Agreed..these people didn't go to vet school for years for nothing, of course they know more than you about animals in every way, they may not know YOUR animals habits etc, but they can tell you way more than you know about their health and treatment. If you thought you were so right, why did you take them to the vet in the first place? 2nd Opinion? I see, one of the narcissistic animal lovers who thinks they know everything
