Your absolutely correct. There is NO current telephone to contact a LIVE person at the-is VERY poorly run US post Ofc in Germantown, MD. It seems that the Mgmt staff at that so called postal facility are too burden with running an unorganized fed. agency to even bother to help Joe Public try to resolve any personal or commercial US Postal problems. I have lived in Germantown for more then 16 years and Rarely have been provided any effective service from that facility.

By the way, the phone number listed here is not in service and they don't give us the new number. I must say I agree with the other reviewer. I have lived in Germantown many years now and I haven't ever had to deal with such poorly run office before. Our mail often gets delivered very late in the day sometimes after 5 pm. I have had them mangle my packages so bad I have had to return them. I use Stamps.com to print my stamps without having to go get them all the time and they mangled the envelope that the special labels were shipped in so badly that I was unable to use them and had to return them. That is not the first time I've had this type of thing happen. What is really bad is there are no permanent carriers for the Germantown routes nor do we even have a permanent supervisor to go to with our complaints. I have tried complaining before to no avail. No one there cares the least bit about service in that post office. Germantown has gotten big enough that we have two zip codes for this area now and we still don't have permanent carriers. Gone are the days where the mailman was regarded as a member of the family. We have no idea who our mailpeople are any more. Nor do we get the friendly service that we used to get. And they want to moan that the Internet has taken a lot of their business away. Is it any wonder when we customers are faces with such poor service?
