Cafe Milano

I had been seeing Cafe Milano deliveries in my neighborhood and though to give them a try tonight. I ordered a pizza for delivery (which is only 10 minutes away) on a thursday evening. The driver pulled up almost an hour later (53 minutes). He seemed in such a hurry that he dropped the pizza on the ground while pulling it from the car. Embarrassed, he apologized and said he would call to have another pizza made. After waiting an hour and to only see this, I decided to call there myself and see what could be done. The first person I told the story to, immediately passed me to her supervisor. I told the supervisor about it and was asked to hold. She returned and said that her "boss would like to offer half off this order or a free pizza with the next order." I explained "I did not think that this was sufficient as we were trying their food for the first time and I did not want to pay half price to wait another hour for a pizza and if they did not agree then they will have lost a potential new customer." I again was placed on hold for a brief period. The she came back on the phone and verified the address and the order also stating that it would not take as long and they would move my order ahead of the others. I did ovehear her telling the kitchen that she "needed another medium pizza right now."

These pizza has been delivered 30 minutes later along with a free 2-Liter of soda and a gift card for half-off the next order. Although the driver did try to collect until he remembered that he was told it was free. He was very apologetic and was told that I might be angry bcause of the ordeal. I politely tipped him for the drive here as it was not his fault and thanked him.

The quality of the pizza is not too bad. I am yet undecided if I will call again. But I must admit that they did go out of the way to make amends. I know bad incedents happen, especially in food and beverage, as in the past I was an chef for 10 years in the fine dining industry.

Overall, the entire ordeal rates a low/average score. The food quality is average for the comparison in my area and rates as such. The recovery by the managers and the politeness of all involved was above average and may be the deciding factor of future calls or visits. As this was my first dining experience with them, it will be a while before, or if I decide to call again.

Well I have been eating at Cafe Milano for about a year and a half . Yes the food sometimes is'nt perfect but the service makes up for it.The dinning area is so comfy cozy it makes you feel like your at a friends house for dinner. Most of the younger ladies are dolls the ones who have worked during the day are my favorites because even thought they are busy they make you feel like your #1. The best dishes i've had is the Broccoli and Chicken Penne; Veal, Chicken and Eggplant Parmigana. The Best nitghts to go in and eat is Tuesdays and Thursdays when they have the all you can eat pasta, it is wonderful.Congrats to Mr. Angelo on the new resturant next door we can't wait to dine there!!!!!!!!

OK!: We have been eating a cafe' Milano for about a year and at first the food was good and now it is cold and undercooked.
