User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI recently went to Don Pepe with a group of people for dinner. My friend and I who both ordered the same thing became very ill that night. I called Don Pepe management the next day before lunch to tell them exactly what food item had made my friend and I sick. The manager was very rude and said in a very rude tone, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" I then replied, "I want you to not serve the items that made my friend and I sick until you figure out what is wrong." He didn't respond and was not sympathetic at all. He was not willing to do anything to prevent other patrons from getting sick. I ate there on Wednesday night and I am still sick on Saturday. (The normal food poisoning symptoms). I am very worried and plan to go to the doctor first thing Monday. I urge everyone to reconsider before eating there. Do you really want to eat at a place that the management doesn't care if there patrons become ill from the food that they serve?

Don Pepe is our home away from home!The staff is wonderful and we think of them like family. The food is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. By far, this is the best Mexican food in the southeast!!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAfter visiting many, many local Mexican restaurants, Don Pepe has emerged as our favorite. The meal starts with chips and two kinds of salsa, the traditional as well as a superb roasted tomato salsa. Meal choices include fajita nachos that are not skimpy on the cheese sauce and also have pickled jalepeno rings on top. The pollo ranchero is a taste sensation and definitley worth a try. You won't regret it. We have not been disappointed by anything.
