Nice atmosphere. Very good wait staff. Good salsa.
Slightly above average mexican food. Would return, but not the best Mexican I have ever had.

I've visited the Waterford and Farm Hills locations on several occasions, often times trying to convert my friends to EL Patio from whatever local mexican fare they like, and I LOVE the place. The service is fast and friendly, very attentive. The food comes out quick and hot. My favorites are the Chicken taco salad, nacho supreme and queso dip. The chicken is real all white breast meat thats been freshly cooked and pulled apart. Chips and salsa are made fresh daily and they keep your table stocked w/ that and drink refills. They do not have alcohol, but make up for it in keeping SWEET iced tea available.
As the pastor of a church in the area (a Baptist church with folks that really know how to eat) we often go out after church for food and fellowship. We frequent many of the local eateries for variety and fairness to the community. Last night we went to El Patio, my personal favorite. What a pleasure. Always great food but more importantly...great, great, great service. Friendly (even when they can't speak English...and that is fine - who needs a talky server while you are trying to talk to friends), fast service (even if it takes ten plates balanced artfully on just one servers arms from hands to neck), and endless table service during your meal which is almost impossible to find anymore. As for drinks, I am the preacher and by the time I get there after church I could drink a swimming pool full - and at the rate they bring the drinks, I do. If there were more than five stars I would give it to them. In fact...lunch sounds good today. : )
