Ever since I moved to Flossmoor, Eat Rice has been my ultimate favorite place to eat Chinese food. The only negative thing I have to say about the service is the fact that the food takes a while to come out.But that's because they cook it when you order it, and I never have a proboem with fresh cooked food.Everything is afforable & the variety on the menu is incredible.Another pro is that you can tell them specifically how you want your food. You can request tofu as to chicken or beef, and olive oil as to canola oil. It's very convenient.Overall, Eat Rice deserves the five stars I gave it.It's a great place to go for great Chinese food.
We get takeout from here a couple times a month. It is cheaper than cooking yourself, and always fresh and tasty. A "small" ($4.85) feeds me and my husband, but we usually get a large so we can have lunch the next day. The chicken dishes are especially good (Kung Pao and Hunan are my faves), and the kitchen is nice about tailoring dishes to your requests (ie more veggies, less oil, spicy or not.) And contrary to what I saw in another review, everyone speaks English just fine. (Just because people some employees speak with an accent doesn't mean they don't understand or can't communicate, cut our hard-working immigrants some slack, people.) Everyone has their favorite Chinese place, this is mine. I agree it's not really a sit-down place at all, unless you just want to grab a bite to eat. (Most of the tables are occupied by people waiting for their takeout.) I have eaten there and the service is fine and all, but definitely go elsewhere for an evening out.
Very average. Hong's Chop Suey on Western, just south of Route 30 is way way better.
