Buffet food is not meant to win awards. It is meant to stay within legally defined temperatures for freshness while delivering maximum flavor under duress to the largest mass of patrons during peak hours only.
China Buffet in Morris is not one of those. It has most dishes being freshened more than once every half hour. Examples are the baked fish in butter sauce, the freshly made sushi and sushimi, the deep fried shrimp, the hot & sour soup, the par green beans, the pork fried rice, the seafood in butter, the General Chao, the spicy shrimp, the white rice, the pot stickers [ big breath ] and of course all of the American stuff too like the garlic bread and pizza and the fried and battered fish.
There are several more offerings under the sparkling clean glass and chrome framed covers.
If you have ever been to Mings, then you'll enjoy China Buffet in Morris, Illinois. I go for the sushi as often as possible: probably over 20 time in 2009. Yes, I'd rather eat sushi at Todai's in the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, but for about $15 less, I get near the same quality and only a few minutes from home without the nose stuck in the air as this Guigine is being seated
Same old stuff, greasy routine fare. Only good thing about the place is it's parking and all ya can eat at a reasonable price. Definitely nothing special here.
We go at least twice a month: Very pleased and I have no suggestions at this time

Not sure what venues Main Street Mogul is comparing China Buffet to, but he or she must have this good restaurant confused with some dive. This place is not just good for a buffet, many dishes are out right text book examples of well prepared cuisine.
