User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe just went here for lunch and were very happy. They put more meat on our servings than most other Johnny Carino's and the service was quite good.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Experience: Went for the first time on Thanksgiving day. There were three of us. It was great. We started with some Dynamite sticks which were a unique concoction. They were very tasty. The minestrone soup was average, but rarely do you find a great soup. Two of us had pasta. One with sausage and one with meatballs. The meat balls were very good. The sausage was the best we ever had. The third dish was a grilled chicken breast... It was excellent. For dessert we shared some type of lemon cake with a lemon glaze poured over the top. it was light and fluffy... not to sweet... but just sweet enough. It was a wonderful way to end a meal.
Our server was attentive, efficient and friendly without hovering. It was a great experience. We can't wait to go back again.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWe will be regulars: A neighbor told us about Mama's. WE went and we were not disappointed. We are from Chicago (have been in CA. for 10-yrs.) and I love deep dish pizza but I will say this- Mama's thin crust pizza is GREAT. When you order it is like getting two meals for the price of one. The portions are large. Service is good and love the neighborhood atmosphere. Will be going back to Mama's at least twice a month.
