This school is the best that i have ever gone to.
Al show you skill and great offensive and defensive moves!
The Tiger's Ark is the best MA school in the Wyoming Valley, and Al is about the best martial artist I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He's open and friendly about kung fu, an excellent teacher with a way of explaining things that are hard to understand in layman's terms. I had been studying martial arts off and on for thirty three years when I first met Al. I'd been trying to work through some old injuries and decided to see what Al could do for me.I can only attend two days a week, but it's been great. Really hard, but great.
His school is very traditional, and the only way to move forward is to do better than you did the day before. Don't come here if you want a black sash or belt. Don't come if you aren't going to work hard. Please come if you're interested in traditional Lau style Hung Gar with conditioning and real fighting applications.
Al is a great instructor. I did karate off and on for years. Al showed me some great Hun Gar, traditional kung fu. I must have trained with him for 5 years, but had to quit when I went back to school.
I am trying to get back in shape, and have been practicing the Hun Gar that Al taught me, along with some karate, on my own.
I will have to go back, maybe in the spring.
While karate is good, Hun Gar is better. Al taught me to fight with the ferocity of a Tiger, and with an intensity that is lacking in some styles.
This style teaches true waist power. While karate has its own ways of generating power, it can not compare to this.
