We have been coming to Antlers for 4 years now and have never left unhappy. They will try to work with you to get your reservations on the dates you want. The houseboats we've had, Orion and Genesis are incredibly nice and although we've had a few minor glitches, we've always had an amazing time and done it comfortably, in great weather, and always had a ton of fun. It's nice to be in the outdoors, but have a traveling house with satellite tv, full kitchen, A/C and hot tub if the weather goes bad.

Pack up a ton of food, drinks and lots of sun screen. Don't bring a ton of clothes becuase storage is limited if you have a full boat. Especially if you're one of the people staying in the upper lofts as they are only big enough to crawl into and sleep. Also be sure to start looking for a good place to beach early so you can get a good spot out of the way or you may be scrambling as the sun sets. I also suggest citronella candles or bug spray as bugs can get thick in the spring.

As your trip progresses we found that cleaning up the decks and what not every morning can help reduce cleaning at the end on your way in. They aren't unrealistic on how clean you should have it but expect it to be as clean as when you got it or close to. Managing the power use can also keep you from having to run the generator all day and save fuel useage. On a hot day it's worth keeping the A/C on at night though as it can get unbearably hot in the bedrooms.

It's worth the money if you can do it, and it's not much if you can get about 15 people together and split the costs. We'll be there again this year and I'm sure for several years to come. Thanks Antlers for many unforgetable memories!
