If you value your equipment, stay away from their service shop.
I brought in an ATV with a bad transmission -- a know problem with this model. On this model, the transmission and the engine are seperate units.
They proceeded to completely dismantle not just the transmission, but the entire engine, splitting the cases, even removing the valves, keepers, etc, from the head. Its like they decided to let some junior mechanic, who had never seen this model before, have a training session at my expense.
Whne presented with a $2,000+ repair estimate, I asked for the machine back -- what I got was 6 boxes of completely diassembled and disorganized parts, plus the rolling frame -- thank goodness they didn't strip that all down.
They were kind enought to charge me only $75 instead of the $150 diagnosis fee -- of course I'm now left to re-assemble an engine from scratch (sans several parts, and all the new gaskets, seals, etc. that have to purchased) that should have never been disassembled in the first place.
Talking to other shops, this should have been a $1,200-$1,500 repair -- thanks to these mechnaical goons, it's now a $3,000 job.
PS - Management/ownership could not have cared less about what happened. How these guys have managed to hang on to a Honda and Yamaha dealership amazes me -- they are destroying the Honda/Yamaha brand in this area. No wonder everyone seems to have KTMs around here.
