i've been renting from excel since 2007 and have nothing a great experiance. anytime we have a problem and call they are out the next day. they come in twice a year and change filters for our heating and a/c. anytime there is a problem and we dont know about it they call everyone on their contact list for our place and let us know what is going on. price for our place is great. They actually just up graded our direct tv dishes since they were five years old to the better high definition ones. if anything the management goes out of their way to help out. if i dont buy my next place i will probably stay with excel.

I had rented a property from them for a period for 2 years. Everytime i had a conceren with the rental they would use threatening tone and frequently remind you if they would have to come out there was a possiblity of incuring a twenty five dallor fee.(example: central a/c was inopperable thru out a 4 unit building in the middle of summer. Their words to me was to deal with it. They have more important things to due since they had other tennants moving out and they to get that property ready. Mind you i have a 2 year old daughter in the residence and its over 90 degrees). They can and will do everything with in the legal requirements, but if something was to happen (loss of job ,family hardship,etc) don't expect them to work with you. I moved out and the appartment was pretty clean w/ normal wear and tear and they had tried to keep almost 800 dallors of my security deposit. If i could give anyone some advive it would be to stay away from Excel.

I just wanted to offer another opinion. Properties are kept in decent condition, staff is helpful, price is reasonable. They dont stand out for anything, but at the same time they shouldnt be avoided. There are better and there are worse
