Great place to go. It is to bad that the piano had to go. I miss just going there to listen to professionals play the piano.
My husband and I like to stay in Downtown Vegas when we visit so I did a search for a nicer classy restraunt on the web and ran across Triple George's overview and website. So while we were there over Christmas weekend, romantic get-away for the two of us, I made it a point to stop in and try the place. The online menu looked enticing. Verdict is: I was pleased ! The atmosphere is quite nice - very clean, low lighting for intimate dining, big dark wood bar at the entry, private eating areas available. Pleasant. Though I will note the chairs aren't the most comfortable but that hardly made a dent in my overall impression of the place. The food was very good. I had the Ribeye special offered that evening. My husband had the Shrimp Linguini special and we had a calamari appetizer. Yum ! And it was a LOT of food. No way I could finish. I remarked to the waitress that it was the first time, since meedting my husband (7 years ago - he's a grill genius), that I wasn't disappointed with a steak prepared in a restraunt and I've visited several steak places since then. The service was AWESOME !! The waitress was a fun lady - very professional with an enjoyable demeanor. Food came quick once ordered. Nice ! Only reason I didn't rate it excellent is because of the price. 2 meals, 2 teas and an appetizer - no dessert. Bill was $80. I thought it was a little expensive. That's solely based on my opinion and I do recomend you try it and make your own judgment. It was worth the experience and we very well may go there again next time we're in Las Vegas.
I go to Vegas every year in January for my birthday. There are always great restaurants and food to be had but the prices are also great!! This year I decided to do a little research and try to find a restaurant that the locals liked, with great quality food, for your normal prices, (not Las Vegas Strip prices). After reading the reviews on several sites I picked the Triple George Grill. Yes, there were a few bad reviews, but they were written right around the very beginning if the new menu change back in June/July.
I am soooo glad I decided to go. I have been to many wonderful steak houses all over the world. I must say the sevice, food, and atmosphere was wonderful. There were 6 in our party. The shrimp cocktail though the price may seem high at 1st $14 wait until you see the shrimp. Huge, succulent and the sauce perfectly spiced. For our main dishes we all chose either the 20 oz. bone in ribeye, or the crab stuffed shrimp. I will tell you there wasn't alot of conversation at the table after the dishes were brought. My steak was perfectly cooked. Definitely to big for me to finish but every mouthful delicious. I chose the porcinni crusted ribeye, while my husband had his just grilled to perfection. I will say that if you don't like alot of spice, the porcinni crust is not for you. It is quite spicy but I like that. My 2 girlfriends said the shrimp were to die for. They were very generous with their portions too. You get your choice of starch with your dish, & sauteed vegetables come with the entree. If you don't like what they offer, for $6.95 you can choose from others off the menu.
We were to stuffed for dessert, but if they are as good as the main entree you are in for a treat!
We will go going back! Thanks for a great meal!!
