I put new pipes on my Road King and it hesitated and back fired on deceleration. Called a buddy of mine who recomended Capitol City Choppers. Called and talked to Jason and he got me in right away. Picked my bike up the next day, rejetted and running flawless. Mike talked bikes with me for about 30 minutes. Good guys that care about your bike. Stay open until 8 during the week which makes it easy to get your bike. Definately recomend and will go back...
Custom motorcycle kit distributors and machine shop. Product build quality is mediocre. The supposedly "new" motorcycle I received from them had a bad oil leak, dead battery, used tires, broken ignition coil and wires, improper wiring, paint flaws, rusted fasteners and a non-working kickstand.
Communication and follow-up is extremely poor. After calling numerous times over the past 45 days and leaving messages, they rarely call back & they're rude, laugh and hang up. Paperwork and documentation provided with the motorcycle was inadequate for DMV/CHP purposes. We had to take the bike back to the frame manufacturer to have a VIN stamped on it to legally register it. The manager and staff at CCC repeatedly have told us to "blue-tag" the bike, however the DMV and CHP tell us this term is meaningless and that is not how a custom motorcycle is registered.
We finally registered the bike by forcing a response from CCC by using a certified letter. When they refused the letter (as we knew they would), we were able to bring the certification to the CHP to show that we've done everything in good faith and due dilligence to obtain the proper documentation from CCC. Unfortunately, by refusing the letter, the CHP have also informed us that they may be investigating them soon because of their suspicious business practices related to building vehicle kits in California, in particular offering frames without VIN numbers or Manufacturer Statements of Origin.
Because of their unwillingness to communicate and be courteous, I cannot consider them to be trustworthy and I would avoid CCC for any motorcycle business.
