I read the other reviews posted for this place, and I have to say I think those people writing those reviews must own the restaurant or work there! I lived in Seattle before this, and in a few other states before that. I have been eating sushi for thirteen years now, and I have to say that is the worst Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten at. The prices are ridiculous, and very unreasonable. $15.00 for one roll!!! You have to be kidding me-there are wonderful Japanese restaurants in Seattle that sell amazing sushi for about half the price. My husband had the donburi bowl, and I think they had heated it up in the microwave. The topper was when we had only been there for 40 minutes, and the waitress gave us our bill without asking if we needed anything else, and came over five minutes later and told us to pay in the next five minutes because she had to leave. Lastly, all I have to say is they include potato salad as a side dish with some of their meals. Potato salad!!!!!! Enough said!
So I haven't eaten a lot of sushi. I mean I love it and eat it wherever I find myself: Seattle, LA, Atlanta, Vegas...but while I think Ozeki has awesome sushi, I wasn't really sure I was knowledgeable enough to say so. Enter two Japanese exchange students. Figuring this was my chance to get it straight from the horses mouth, Ozeki was the first place we took our Japanese guests. After practically licking their plates clean, both enthusiastically confirmed Ozeki's authenticity and quality. Add to that the owner's graciousness and the clean, contemporary atmosphere, and you have a winning restaurant on your hands. Hopefully Ozeki is around for a long time to come.
OMG!!!!!! I love this place! I am not big on raw fish but I love their cooked rolls, especially the deep fried ones! I eat there at least once every two weeks weather I take my friend who introduced me to it, drag a new friend along to try sushi for the first time, take out, or con my husband into going with me! The food is WONDERFUL! My favioret being the Philly Crispy Roll. It is also a very fun enviorment to eat at, you can eat in their family room witch is basically sitting on the floor to eat or at the sushi bar to watch them make yours. They also have regular seating for those not into either of those. They are fast, and very friendly. The quality is really outstanding! I would recomend this even if you have never tried sushi....I had never tried it until my friend drug me in there, now I love it!
