   I am from Iowa and I always make a point to browse through the Treasure Hunt whenever I get the opportunity. They have good, quality pieces and not just furniture; they have dishes, jewelry and accessories, too. The coffee table I got last time was near new and looks great in my family room now. It caught my eye because it was unique; a leather top with two drop-leaf sides and a center drawer. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the owner even carried the table out to the car for me! I recommend this store to anyone looking for quality pieces.

   I am from Des Moines, IA and am out that direction quite a bit. I stop at the Treasure Hunt every chance I get. They have a great collection of items and lots of unique stuff too. I can't wait to get out there again (in about 2 weeks) to see what all new they have in. The store is great and the people that work there were super friendly! It is DEFINITELY worth the stop. Everyone that I know that is heading to Chicagoland or the surrounding area, I tell them to make a detour to Treasure Hunt as they won't be sorry it is totally worth it! I have gotten many beautiful items from there!

   In response to posting, yes owner of T.H. purchased home in Hoffman Estates and introduced himself as homeowner. Anyone that has ever owned their own business knows and understands the long hours in a 7 day work week. An attempt to reduce his commute from an hour each way to ten minutes would be considered a sound investment. He purchased the home, which is in much need of repair and updating, and it's contents. Rather than truck the contents back to the store, he referenced the Hoffman Estates website that states a garage sale does not require a permit. Sold some, donates the remains to one of several charities he supports.
   
   Working on the interior while hosting the garage sale we met many wonderful neighbors over the course of the weekend. We plugged in the popcorn machine and gave it away much to the delight of the children of the community. We made sure that every neighbor "in need" went home happy. We helped walk purchases to their homes and dropped off things that were too heavy. Taking care of ones neighbors with tremendous bargains and good customer service is not just being neighborly but being "good corporate citizens."
   
   The only safely situation that we witnessed was the folks living in the rear of the development tend to drive rather quickly on the "drive" toward the main roads. This was not the result of our garage sale but a hazard of living on a thoroughfare.
   
   As far as the "booming Business" we experienced, perhaps the concern was the open arms welcome we received from those living on all sides of us who chose to spend the afternoon with us. Indeed, if ones success is measured by the joy given and received, clearly this weekend was a success. Our thanks to the fine folks on Shorewood Drive that came to introduce themselves, their children, pets, parents and spouses and wish us well.
