ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! This company is beyond awful. I have reported my experience to the BBB, however, Paramount Movers already has an "unsatisfactory" rating (nicer words than I would have chosen). Besides numerous missing items upon delivery they demanded more money "in cash only" for "extended carry". I measured with a measuring tape and they were wrong. The mover then corrected himself and said it was because of the steps, which JUSTIN HALL had told me are "included up to three flights". There was only one flight of steps into my apartment building. When I did not give them the cash they tried to drive off with all of my belongings so I resorted to calling the police. Then they unpacked all of my stuff and left it OUTSIDE in the PARKING LOT! I took multiple pictures and submitted all of this to the claims department which never responded. I called seven times and submitted three claims before being told they would refund $24.00 on a move that cost $3,500.00. The contract was breached and the services I paid for were not rendered. I will be taking this to small claims court despite the fact I live in CA now. Please respond to this posting if you are interested in filing a suit together. Strength in numbers.

Worst company. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with them. They are awful. I even complaint to BBB about them and their breach of contract. BBB recommmended proceeding with the claim with a small claims court or go to arbritation but I was inconvenienced enough by their horrible service!

This is DEFINITELY the worst company that I have ever had move me. They were late in arriving for my move by atleast 3 hours. In delivering my good, they were late atleast one week, and the worst part was that they never informed me of what was happening until I called continuously and harassed them. When my items arrived, I had atleast 5 missing boxes and good, and a broken items, which they had packed! Now they try to get away by telling me that I should have packed my items better! They assume no responsibility for any of the damages or losses. I put in my claims back in February of this year, and contiuously have to call them to check on the status of my claims. EVERYTIME I call them, they say that they will know the status at the end of the week... low and behold I NEVER hear from them until I call them. I had almost forgotten about the whole deal, but called them today... about 6 months after my move and after the claims should have been dealt with.. guess what they told me... it'll be done by the END OF THE WEEK! suuuure, it will be! am very frustrated and irritated with this company. I should try to make a legal case out of this.

    ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!

I wish I could attach the letter I wrote to the company for you to see in detail what they did, but in a nutshell: they have hidden fees that they don't mention until they are in transit, customer service is great until after they pick up your belongings and then they disappear, they broke almost every plastic crate that had been used to pack my clothes, broke my end table, broke a bookcase, dropped a stack of boxes containing crystal and other fragile items, did not reassemble any furniture, asked me to remove all of their moving blankets from my furniture, showed up late, damaged my wall, I had stress fractures in my dining room chairs and they dropped my expensive bicycles off the back of their semi. They were so late I had to help them unload boxes so that we could get out of the storage unit before we were locked in. I packed all of my own belongings with the exception of 4 large pieces of furniture – everything they broke was considered packed by owner (PBO) so there was no restitution. They denied the stress fractures in the chairs claiming there was no way they could have caused it since they were wrapped in a blanket. They do not charge for blankets, but they will charge for the tape and the shrink wrap that they use – regardless of whether or not you provide it. If they do not pack it the way they want to then it is considered PBO and there is no insurance. Justin (the company rep) did not tell either driver about additional stops and he did not tell them about my motorcycle - all of which caused significant problems upon pick up and delivery.

After repeated attempts the company responded to me - - "I see you are trying to make big story out of your move. Please try to understand, at we make every effort to avoid losing, damaging, or destroying any of your items while your shipment in our possession for transportation. However, despite precautions taken, articles are sometimes lost or destroyed during the move."

    Lost or Destroyed????

I received a letter from the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA is a voluntary industry program created to promote sound principles and acceptabel practices in the interstate moving and storage industry) They said -- " There are currently about 4,000 movers operating on an interstate basis in the US. Of this number 3,500 are members of the AMSA" You guessed right - Paramount is not a member.

RUN from this company and DO NOT use them regardless of how good the company rep says they will be! I should have listened to some of the reviews that I read!!! Please learn from my mistake - do plenty of research. Call AMSA, the Maryland Attorney General, the DOT, Better Business Bureau etc.
