User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis place is great!!! I used to live and work in Newark so i visited often. Now i live in Edison and I still take the drive!! Everyone there is very friendly and the food is to die for. Just note, they are closed on Sundays.

Amazing Veg-aquarian fare!: The building that I live in has a meny for Food for Life and it looked interesting. As a veg-aquarian finding a restaurant with an assorted menu that I can eat is tough and so finding one nearby was a great find. This place is located on a small street and totally not what we were expecting to find in its location. They cater to the business lunch crowd in the area but this could change as the residential in this region is taking off.
The food was abolutely amazing! Eclectic and adventurous to be sure. The staff was professional and very friendly. The nautical bacon is worth a trip all by itself. Be sure not to miss this little culinary diversion in the heart of Newark.
An easy walk from the Robert Treat Hotel, the Hilton or 1180. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHeaven: This has to be the best restaurant that I have ever eaten at in all of NJ. I have eaten at quite a few places and the only other place that I can mention with food this delicious is Mobe's in Brooklyn on Washington and a Italian eatery my mother took me too in North Carolina. The menu is diverse and healthy, the cole slaw and candied carrots are a killer surprise. But I have ordered something different each time and every time each plate stands on its own, esquisite.
