What an amazing experience. I live in Virginia Beach so this was my first time at the Newport News location.
The owner Scott went ABOVE and beyond for us. First of all... he opened the restaurant during the day to accommodate our very large and ever changing guest list. He made sure to memorize our names as he brought all of our employees a cup of coffee as we set up for our awards ceremony. He had a projection screen, speakers, an extension cord, the whole works for us WITHOUT NOTICE!!! I had forgotten a bunch of stuff and he was right there to help out. Even went as far as to offer his personal lap top if need be!
On to the staff... they were so amazing. They came in on a day where they normally donât work and were spectacular to our VIP guests. Their smiles were shining and they were just delighted to be there. Fantastic!!!
The Chicken Marsala is my new entrée of choice! Iâm usually a Chicken Parm and Pinot girl at Carrabbas but I think Scott has converted me. The portions were plentiful, the chicken was tender and absolutely delicious... and the six option desert sampler...oh my gosh!
I feel like people only take the time to fill these surveys out when something goes wrong so it was my pleasure to take a moment to boast that something... EVERYTHING went just right!
Thanks Scott and the staff who worked on 11/14/2008
:) A very Happy Customer
went there for dinner the other night, wasnt the best of places i've been to, actually not even average. The waitress brought our drinks out holding with her fingers the rim of the glass, wich I think is personally disgusting. Food was sub par, it was acutally pretty bland. Nothing really special about the place, other than the aesthetics of the restaurant, wich i'd rather have good food and service than how visually nice the place is. Also i think $$$ pricey for the quality of food. Go explore other restaurants than this one, newport news actually has some good places to eat besides these cookie cutter restaurants with real servers and bartenders.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I love the relaxed atmosphere with dim lighting and the option of eating at the pizza bar. You can watch them cook your meal! They have great meals from start to finish, and the prices are worth it with quality.
