I have been to Sambuca's about 4 times and it has always been excellent the food, music and atmosphere or outstanding. I have found that the band on Thursday nights and the Saturday night band or my favorite, but Thursday is absolutely my first choice.
We had a great experience here - two nights in a row! We were in Nashville on vacation and went the first night based on a suggestion from a friend. We returned the very next night because it was so good. There were 3 of us and we were all very pleased with our meals both nights. The sea bass, tuna, and tater tots were the favorites. Oh yeah, and I can't forget the sopapilla stuffed with cheesecake for dessert - like heaven in your mouth. Nice outdoor areas for smokers and pleasant live music both nights. The upstairs patio is the perfect place to finish off the night with a drink and a great view of downtown. Pricey, but worth it. We'll be going back next time we're in Nashville.
Wonderful! Having just moved here from Chicago, where some of the US' best restaurants are, it was a treat to FINALLY find a restaurant equal to those we left behind in IL. We had visited many a Nashville 'hotspot' only to be sorely dissappointed by either the food quality, the ambiance, or the service.
Sambuca embodied all of these things, and more. Live jazz from a local artist graced the stage the night we attended (they have live music 7 days a week), the mood was relaxed, but sophisticated, and the food was to marvel over (I highly recommend the petite filet, parm encrusted chicken, and beignets - coupled with the french martini and red/white sangria).
Packed on a Wednesday night, Sambuca is a 'well hidden secret' of Nashville that is sure to become one of our frequent haunts... In our estimation, it is one of the few restaurants worthy of calling itself 4-star!
