The best restaurant in Norfolk. I go there almost once a week. The food is geat, my kids really love it.

I am only sorry I didn't think to try out this restaurant ages ago when they opened. I feel I have done myself a great disservice!
El Mezcal is an oasis in the green corn desert of Northeast Nebraska. Being local to the area, your taste buds begin to resign themselves to the "same old, same old". You begin to think the only time you will find really great food is by driving for some hours to a larger city.
Thankfully, this is not longer the case! El Mezcal delivers in every area of customer satisfaction:
The menu is extensive.
The prices are great.
The wait staff is kind and courteous.
The food arrives quickly and special requests are always honored. (I am lactose intolerant and I've yet to find a bit of dairy in anything I've ordered.)
The atmosphere is incredible. It's bright and lively with great Spanish music playing in the background.
You are always greeted immediately with a bowl of salsa and a basket of warm tortilla chips so you can munch away as you peruse the giant menu.
But best of all is the brilliant authentic cuisine! I have dedicated myself to trying everything on the menu. It's a no brainer task as every item is delicious and well worth trying! The flavors are fresh and burst in your mouth.
It is definitely a welcome reprieve from the Pegler-Sysco pre-packaged restaurant world in which we live.
Viva El Mezcal!!!!
