| About: | This nightclub is located in the city of Maplewood, a city close to St. Paul. The funky decor sets the tone of the interior, which is mostly wacky and high on energy. Rock concerts, parties with live music, plus a few international DJ acts thrown inall these make Myth a much sought-after venue. High-definition music systems, video screens, projectors, a 70-foot wide stage, seven bars, six semi-private lounges, a VIP lounge and barphew!are only some of the other features of the club. My friends work here at the Myth and even they agree it's a joke. they said they only work there because it's a job for now but they agree with me the Myth is all aboiut making money I know the manager as well she is a wonderful lady but we all need to encourage her to stand up to the big man and tell him to lower the number of ticket sales allowed per concert.
I had written an anonymous review previously giving this club 5/5 stars. After a couple years since, I give them a lesser review due to the fake staff and very fake management. We had friends coming up from Wyoming and we wanted to make this night very special. We had contacted the Myth directly for "VIP" seating and a Limo. Upon arrival of the Myth, the management requested that they hold onto our credit card. We insisted. We were quoted around $300 for Limo and free "VIP" with our standard floor tickets compliments of the Myth. We had a great time, Dokken and Great White were both very good bands and signed some memorobilia for us. That is the upside to the Myth. As soon as the night ended, they had run our credit card for over $1,200. Our trust had been broken with the "big shot" manager and overall reflection of how I view the Myth after I was a loyal attendee for over 10 concerts. The $300 limo was actually $600, and they had charged us over $200 per bottle of liquor that we had consumed. Now that I look back to that night, the limo driver and management/staff seemed very fake and I feel violated and sick. I will however attend the Myth again with the intention of only paying for a floor ticket for a concert.
I went to see Jason Mraz on Nov 19. I bought my tickets before they went on sale as I have enjoyed his music for years and had looked forward to this show for months. I could not believe this was an all ages show, there were shot girls dressed like whores and children in the same establishment. This should have been 18+. There were also so many people I felt like I was in a packed subway car with loud music. There was not one place to stand and see the stage. To even see the show on one of there screens you had to stand in a mass of people. I do not buy tickets to see a show to watch it on a screen that is what I buy DVDs for. I left before my favorite artist came on since there was no plausible way to see him. Way too many tickets sold; to me the Myth is only interested in a massive profit. I don't know how anyone one could have enjoyed this show! Last night was one of the most disappointing nights of my life. I will never go back to the Myth!
