| About: | Step into Addie's, and you might as well be stepping into Jamaica. The restaurant's authentic menu is in no way toned down for sensitive American palettes. The jerk chicken is made the traditional way, oven baked rather than grilled. The jamaican-style pot roast is a serious crowd pleaser, as are the fish stew, oxtail, curry lobster, and even curry goat. On the side, delight in helpings of fried plantains and home-style (if home is Kingston, that is) mac and cheese. Addie's well-rounded wine list is a pleasant surprise. |

Elegant place to enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine: Dark hardwoods abound, you are given first-class treatment and the food is delicious. This is the place you take a date when you want to experience something beyond the ordinary. You get well-prepared home cooked food, an intimate atmosphere and personal attention to compliment your dining experience. Ms. Addy even makes home-made irish moss. If you don't know what that is, it is like a natural Viagra for men. Fellas, don't drink it if your going home alone. I'm serious. A little on the pricey side if your doing like me and just getting it to go but this is the place for a date.
