Went to the cleaners to have a polyester filled comforter washed(not dry cleaned). Though the turn around time was fast (about 24 hrs; which is why they get 2 stars and not just one)the lady that I checked my comforter in with first quoted me $20. I verified that she was referring to just a wash and not dry cleaning because I though that was an extremely overpriced quote. She asked me to bring it in from my car so she could take a look at it. After seeing that it wasn't special care and not down filled she quoted me $10 for just a wash. I agreed and got my claim slip. When I went to pick up the comforter, she total me that it would be $18. I told her she had quoted me $10 and she showed me a piece of paper with a list of prices. I told her that she said since it wasn't down and just a polyester filled comforter she said she would only charge me $10 trying to jog her memory. She told me no, they did it on flat rate charges and it was $18 to get my comforter back. I reluctantly paid very unhappy. I got three prices from them($20, $18, $10) so it doesn't seem very flat rate to me. If she insisted $18 before I turned it in, I would have declined and just spent more time finding another place. The fact that she reneged after doing the services boils my blood.
