We loved the pizza. We are not from New York and have never been there so we don't know what New York pizza really is. It was a nice change from the pizza we usually get. The owner was there and was walking around talking to the customers. We just wanted to order each person a slice. My ds who is very picky does not like sauce and most places don't have slices without sauce. The owner over heard us talking and volunteered to make a special little pizza for my ds.

We were pleased with the pizza (but then again we have never had real New York pizza) and were very impressed by the friendliness of the owner.

Being from New York City, my taste buds are atuned to what a NYC style pizza should taste like and it is not here. I found the crust to be a fair variation - a little dry though; the sauce tasted as though it was canned and the cheese was not the highest quality. Due to NY Richies having Boars Head meats, which are thebest deli cuts NYC has to offer, I gave an additional star. So, if you are looking for a NYC style pizza, its not here, if your looking for a decent sandwich, give them a try.
NOTE: The restaurant does state that they know its not exactly NYC pizza, but as close as they can get with available ingredients.
