I was visiting the area and stopped into D'Arcy's based on internet reviews and a desire to try my first ever "horseshoe." The dish was excellent, and I'd highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to experience the local flavor rather than going to an Applebee's or TGIF. Once there I found they were voted best horseshoe in Springfield for 2008 and were reviewed by Al Roker's food show in '04.
The only negative is that if you were going here hoping to find an "Irish pub," you would be disappointed. My buddy received a blank stare when he ordered a Boddington's.
The greatest horseshoes in town so far. But once again, some of the wait staff seem to not even have a grade school education. Once when ordering ranch dressing, the waitress actually said "Is that the one white stuff or is it kind of yellowish?"
This is the place to go for horse shoes. Yes, it's crowded but that should tell you something. This place is excellent!
