I used to be a loyal Toyota owner until my experience at this dealership. I own both a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited and a 1999 Toyota Corolla CE.
Unfortunately, Premier Toyota/Scion is absolutely the worst dealer I've ever dealt with in my life! I've bought many cars in my life, and this is the worst dealership by an astronomical margin. The dealer wouldn't negotiate below the retail price and wasted six hours of my time. Major Harrison, the Gen. Manager, was nothing but a bold face liar. When challenged, he wouldn't back up his words by putting them in writing on the sales contract. Dan Acres, the sales mgr., acted like he was doing me a favor by charging me the full retail price of the car. He stated that I was lucky to be paying retail. I would have normally walked away but Brian Romell was a great kid, salesman. I really wanted to go through with the sale because of Brian alone. He's a great and helpful sales guy, and I would hope that he could find work with another respectable dealership. In the end, I walked out because Brian incorrectly promised me a 50 dollar credit for my trade-in car and Dan refused honor it. Fifty dollars! FIFTY DOLLARS! Instead of siding with the customer since it was their salesman's (Brian's) mistake, Dan absolutely refused to provide me the credit and lost this sale (of which I was going to pay the full retail price). This dealership exemplifies greed, arrogance, and horrific customer service. I strongly suggest you find another dealer that doesn't charge more than 4-5% over dealer invoice (not MSRP). In this case, Premier Toyota, wouldn't even negotiate 1% below MSRP. They acted very unreasonable and just plain greedy. For that, they don't deserve anyone's business. Worst of all, as I was getting ready to exit the dealership; the general manager, Major Harrison, shouted that he didn't care to do business with jerks like me. This was on the showroom floor in front of other customers. Really classy! This is the primary reason I'm so adamant about writing this review. No one should be treated like this. I was very professional with all of them at every moment and as such would have expected nothing less in return. But instead, Major turned to name calling and unnecessary defamation.
The next day, I went to Jack Matia Honda in Elyria and got a great deal! In one hour, I had a negotiated for a great car at an outstanding price. With Honda's end of year clearance, I got an exceptional value. This deal was much better than any I could have ever gotten at Premier Toyota from my experience. Honda treated me as a valued customer, not just for the one time sale but for life. I would suggest you do the same. Run away from Premier Toyota/Scion and don't let them waste your time and hard earned money. They act like they don't want/need your business and they definitely don't deserve it. Although, I recommend any other dealership except Premier Toyota, Jack Matia Honda exemplifies customer service to me thanks to Bob Zimmerman, Rob and Jerry Draga. Give them a try as Honda cars have great build quality, fuel efficiency, reliability, residual value, and safety.
