I went to the park on 7-18-08 and I was surprised to see the ridiculous "bathing suit not a shirt" rule. I had on a tank top bathing suit which cover most of my chest and in the 90 degree weather, the rent a cops told me I had to put a shirt on. As if that wasn't stupid enough, my 18 month old daughter had a 1 pc bathing suit on and played in a kiddie area that squirted water. She did so in front of a staff member that was overseeing the area. After 10 minutes, we left, but my husband returned to cool her off cuz she is so fair-skinned. The SAME staff member said she couldn't play in the area without more clothes on! How stupid is that, she is just a baby!!!! Not to mention the staff person didn't say anything to me. They need to get rid of this rule because people will die of heat stroke before they can reach the food stands to order a drink. VERY RIDICULOUS!
Other than that, the park itself is great fun. The only other thing I hated was the price of the food. Did you guys know that 1 slice of pizza cost me over $6.00? They don't even kiss you with that amount of money.
The park is worth going to but be warned, you have to wear shirts and shoes. Bathing suits don't count. If you want to be a rebel, like me, you would take off your shirt after you enter the park. No one said anything to me after the entrance and other people were doing the same thing, so up your ass rent-a-cops!
The Good:
You can buy tickets and your flash pass online. The Flash pass if your willing to spend the extra money gives you more time to enjoy the park and less time in line. Plenty of stands / shops / bathrooms in the park to eliminate long walks to your destination.
The Bad: Food costs are outrageous. Park personel can be very unhelpful. Ride operators dont regulate line cuts (folks walk through flashpass lane). Water park closes on weekdays to diminish the amount of school skippings ( how about the rest of us on a 90 degree day? ).
The Ugly: I recently went there on June 10, 2008. This quite possibly is my last time I will ever attend six flags. I purchased a season cup that gives you free drinks for the day, equaling out to 13 dollars. I recieved a bracelet that indicatates that you are able to recieve free drinks for the day. On 4 seperate occations with 4 different park personel, I was charged a dollar refill regardless of my bracelet. The Superman ride and Batman ride both have lockers that require you to pay 1 dollar to use, and once opened, you have to put in another dollar to use again. Now My fiancee and I wanted to ride Superman (only reason why we wanted to come, and it was closed for a few hours). As I walked in through the building and headed to the ride, one of the operators told me i had to put my cup in a locker ( when most / all other rides have a bin for placing in and getting after you get off ). I thought this was bogus. why pay a dollar to use a locker. put my soda in. ride the ride, and get back off to get my soda? So i took my soda and put it on top of the locker. I proceded to get on the ride, and after I got off, my soda was thrown away with my 13 dollar cup because I refused to pay the dollar for the locker. The Line operator for superman that day decided to throw my drink away but certainly didnt throw away a great number of bags that were in the corner of the room of lockers from individuals riding the ride. I Then began to head to the first stand I could find. I showed them my bracelet and informed them of the incident. Because the park stand individual that i purchased the cup from did not put a date on my bracelet, they had me walk to the other side of the park to speak back to them to get another cup. Not very helpful. So as agitated as we were with Batman / Superman rides, we decided to continue to ride the Blizzard numerous times to cool off since it was a very hot day and the water park wasnt open. We didnt realize it at first, but my fiancee has had some sort of skin disease on past occations right around the time when she has attended 6 flags in the past. We didnt put 2 and 2 together untill once again, she has the skin disease. It puts a swell on her forhead and makes it break out in puss in that general area. And also causes her lymphnoids to swell by her ears. This easily diagnoses that the water on the blizzard is contaminated. This in turn is why I dont believe I will ever be attending another 6 flags park untill things straighten out.

Hi Jaymz,
I totally understand your frustration. I read your review before I went to the park a few days later and was ready to fight for my drinks. I just wanted to let you know that the large colored cup you bought should have guaranteed you FREE refills for the whole day. That bracelet vouches for the fact that you paid the $13. and that you get your free drinks. I went there and purchased a cup and made the lady write the date. She told me that no one cares about the date, as long as the bracelet is on. Having your comments in mind, I told her I don't want to get yelled at for the blank bracelet, b/c I would have been kicked out of the park for raising hell for being charged the dollar you were for the refills. In any event, she wrote the date and I got my free drinks that day. I believe the dollar you were charged should have only happened if you returned to the park w/o your bracelet, but with the cup. It sounds like you had the bad luck of dealing with the only 4 jerk-offs in the park. Don't let them get you down. I would complain in all honesty. Take care.
