LOVED the Pear Martini! I had to stop at one, it was sooo very aluring and delicious. The waiter was very nice, and took very good care of us the evening we popped in. Be prepared to share your space with LOTS of people waiting to be seated. Come early and grab a couch and relax while watching the beautiful colours. I was thoroughly floored by the amount of revolution material available on the book shelves; a great treat from the glossy capitalist biblio establishments. A true treat! Oh, and the food was quite good with moderate pricing to beat.
I've heard about this spot a couple of times but didn't visit until this week. It's definitely a diverse crowd! The food is excellent and the drink menu has alot of variety. It's a great place to socialize, discuss current events, pick up some new reading material or just sit back and listen to the spoken word artists. My only complaint is that, the tickets to see the spoken word artists should be sold with the meals, so that would limit the long lines when it comes time to purchase them.
All in all, if you're into the poetry/lounge/neo-soul scene, this is definitely a great place. You're able to feed your mind and your stomach!
Cute Setting: It seemed like a very cute neo-soul type of place that would be ideal for dates. I enjoyed the food but I have had better. The entertainment makes up for it though.
