Overly aggressive dentist! Get a second opinion!
The dentist told me I needed a root canal on a molar that was causing me no pain and no problems. He also insisted a second molar would need one, but they maxed out my insurance with the first one, so I couldn't get the second one done.
Fast forward 18 months. I have a new job and new benefits, so I went to a new dentist. Turns out I did NOT need a root canal on that second molar. The new dentist filled a cavity and the tooth has been fine. I believe the first root canal done by Aspen was overly aggressive and not needed.
Prices are high and appointments take way too long - I was recently in the office for 2 1/2 hours just to get two cavities filled. I spent the first 80 minutes numb, reclined, waiting in the chair for the dentist to come to my room! It was very boring and my neck was sore before they had even started.
A root canal took 7 hours total (between 2 appointments). They are in no hurry to get anyone out of there, and I've missed lots of work because of it. My final bill for two cavities was $100 more than the estimate.
I agree with "student" who also posted a review. The doctor and hygienists constantly talk about other patients in my presence. It strikes me as very inappropriate.
I never felt so horrible about myself. The dentists do not give respect of anyones feelings while in the chair. They talk about your problems, lowering the patients self esteem. I felt as if they overcharged for pointing out problems which I already knew. I would rather them fix the problems than talk about them or make a follow up appointment to overcharge even more.
The standards of privacy are not upheld. While sitting in the chair the dentist was talking to an associate about another patient right in front of me. I felt as if they were rude in bringing up such a topic. The dentist and associate made me feel like I would never want to come back. Their rudeness and disrespect to the patients are a horrible reflection on the professionalism of the company!
Extremely nice people. They got me in when I was having extremely bad pain even thought the did not have room. Remeber who I was when I came in the next time. When using the needle they are extremely good, I barely felt it. They also know what they are doing. They were able to figure out what tooth I was having problems with, when my denist before said it was my wisdom teeth and lower two teeth. Well, it was a top tooth and taking out my wisdom teeth did nothing. I would defently suggest them to everyone.
