Simply Awefull. Most people in St. Louis are aware of how really bad this company is and how rudely they treat their customers. For those of you who are new to the area. You've been warned!
It is no wonder that Charter's revenue is down 960 million dollars or more. It is also not surprising that they are listed as the worst isp. Nor is it shocking that the better business bureau has issued a customer service warning about this company. I was promised a credit to my account for faulty service for 3 months. I never received the credit. When I called customer service i was told that he saw the supervisor's notation about the credit and that he would have to send me to his supervisor for approval. I was disconnected. I called back again, same deal, disconnected. I called the third time to the Mexico City call center (imagine that) and gave the rep the riot act and finally got to a supervisor who advises me that there is no notation of a credit to my account. Funny how 2 and 1/2 hours earlier the credit was there and now it's gone. We need to boycot Charter and start a national campaign to destroy, yes I said destroy, dismantle this company.
I just want to start this by saying that I am a patient person. When I move to Florissant in September we arranged to have my service switched the weekend of the 10th. They did not show and had apparently rescheduled my appointment to the following weekend without any notification. A week and a half after they finally do get it installed my cable quits working and take about 4 days to get service out to my house again. When they show up it turns out that someone else in my neighborhood had their service canceled and since the connections were all unmarked they just disconnected one, which happened to be mine.
A charter salesman calls on the November 25th offering me a very nice bundle deal so I forget the past problems and decided to take it. We arrange to have installation on December 3rd between 1-5 because changing phone carriers has to be done during the week according to them. I take a vacation day so I can be here (this is my last one for the year btw). I don't call them until 4:45 since the last 2 times they came it was at the very end of the time window. When I call customer service tells me that I am scheduled for the 7th between 8-10. After explaining to them that Iâm not stupid and did not get these dates and times confused the rep actually said that the sales person was only worried about the sale and most likely didn't check to see if the time was available. So I guess charter is fine with the old bait and switch, thinking that I will be fine with taking another day off to get their crappy service. The only thing the customer service reps could say was sorry even when I canceled to appointment and the new services I was buying. This is by and far the worst company I have ever dealt with. When they are going to be held accountable for their incredibly poor service? Please do yourself a favor and use any company but them. Personally I am going to look into AT&T satellite for the first time just so I never have to deal with them again.
