My high expectations went right out the door as soon as I walked in. I spoke to bunch of high school hostess girls notifying them that I had a reservation and one girl politely replied âWe are bussing your table right now. Itâll just be a minute.â as she crosses my name off her list. I waited, waited, and waitedâ¦. After 15 minutes I got back to my hostess to ask how much longer and apparently she forgot about me and let other people be seated. She ones again politely says âSorry we forgotâ¦. there is a table being bussed right now, itâll just be a minute.â This time my wife and I (celebrating her birthday) was quickly escorted by an Asian hostess taking us to our little tiny table off in the corner. The table wasnât even ready yet and she called a busboy nearby to quickly clean the table. I asked if we could take that table the busboy was cleaning and she had the audacity to respond âNo, Sorry. That table is reserved.â WTF⦠We came in and waited 15 minutes past our reservation time with no table and she wonât let us have that table because itâs reserved??? And this table sat empty for at least five minutes. Which is about how long it took for our waitress to arrive. We quickly order our appetizer entrée and drinks (we spent the 15 minutes waiting looking at the menu). The drinks came first and it was the âLiptonâ Iced tea. Nothing wrong with âLiptonâ iced tea expect in a high class restaurant like this I expected better. (PandaExpress has an excellent iced tea by the way) We had waited 30 minutes after we sat down and the waters finally came. During this time We noticed other people getting tables after us and foods coming in to their but not ours which ticked us off a little. Our appetizer finally came after nearly 40 minutes. The appetizer was ok, not what we had expected. Shortly there after came the entrée. The ingredients were sub par and wasnât anything special expect itâs your regular cookie cutter Chinese restaurant menu items substituted with fancy names and presented in a special way and priced accordingly high. The shrimps are just your ordinary Safeway/Raleyâs brand shrimps with skin on nothing fancy. The silverware was also sub par with two forks, knife and a plain old slightly mismatched ivory colored chopstick with no Fatâs emblems or anything unique. I mentioned to my wife the atmosphere feels like a restaurant at Wynn or Venetian and she replied, âTrue, but lot of the decoration and food here tries to imitate high class and Wynn or Venetian would not get away with serving these kinds of foods.â If your visiting this restaurant forget reservations, better yet forget this restaurant and go somewhere else.
Every time I go to Costco, this restaurant sometimes catches my eye. So one day, I came over to this restaurant. I come in and I looked around and everything looks nice. I feel uncomfortable at first and felt I wasn't going to get seated in time but I was wrong about that. The waiter had me seated and I view the menu. A lot of nice selections to choose from. My favorite was the Teriyaki Chicken bowl and BBQ fried rice. Appetizers and the main course was a splendid taste. The green tea was very delicious. It's the kind of green tea taste that I should be expecting and it was expected. I dined in this restaurant a couple of times. Service was good. Food is tasty. The enviroment gave me a comfortable feel. It's a nice restaurant with great food. The menu is a bit pricey but it is worth it for sure.
LOVE THIS PLACE!: Everytime I go to FATS it is the best food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. The green beans, passionfruit matini's, and honey walnut shrimp, are not to be missed. Perfect for a date or a family get together.
