my families favorite cafe: We love this spot and go at least once per week, for dine in or take out. The food is always great, the atmosphere small and comfortable, the specialty foods are superb and we love supporting a local place instead of a chain. Another reviewer spoke of the service and, generally I have to disagree. There have been a couple of times when new staff is training that I experienced some confusion, but mostly I love the devoted staff and Julie is great.

Our favorite "food find" in Las Vegas!: Ever since my first visit to Julie Anne's after discovering it several months ago, I have considered myself a devoted regular (I go at least a few times each week). Knowing Julie Anne's and the staff like I do, I can't help but think that the local below just hit them on an "off" day (give it another chance--we all have them, right?). I have never had a bad experience, or even a mediocre experience there. The staff is always pleasant, the atmosphere warm and inviting (as are the aromas coming from the kitchen), and the food outstanding.
I have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the weekends, they have great breakfast specials (usually pancakes or waffles or something like that) that they serve with this really addictive bacon. They also have the best granola I have ever had. For lunch I love their homemade soups or the turkey meatloaf sandwich. The portions are generous and I usually need to take some home with me. Their dinner specials change all the time, but so far they have all been hits with my family. They also do a mouth watering array of baked items that change all of the time, including their ridiculously large brownies. We once ordered a birthday cake from them for my daughter's birthday and it was such a hit. It was really nice that they worked with us to customize it to go with the party. Julie Anne's is a little bit "out of the way" in that it is on the back of a building that borders Eastern, but it is worth scouting out. Try it--I'm sure glad that we did!

Heavy Food, Sad Service: We went to this small cafe in search of a pleasant out of the way place to enjoy some "home cooked food" on the recommendation of a friend. We were quite dissapointed.The first time we went we had the sandwich "wraps" which were OK, though a little dry. We got these to go.The service was hard to get as all the people seemed to be congregated in the back kitchen with no one watching the front register.
The second time we sat down for the "Special" of the day. Again, we felt intrusive in even getting service at the table, as the woman who served us seemed rushed and confused as she went to and fro from the kitchen. This food was heavily seasoned, dry and almost inedible.
I would not recommend this place as "relaxing" , "fun" or even tasty place to eat.
