I've been eating at Havana for about 3 years now. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing and sometimes even funny. I have NEVER received anything but fresh, hot, perfectly seasoned food. And while I've heard some customers whine about price, you shouldn't complain AT ALL until you see the serving size! I've eaten in Magdalia's in Bergenfield and Rebecca's in Edgewater, and Havana tops them both! At Rebecca's, you get 1/2 the serving size for more than twice the price compared to Havana! I would strongly recommend stopping by and checking this place out. They have even added a kid's menu for children who may be a little weary to try something different. All around, this is THE BEST place to go for a family night out! And you can park across the street, which is very convenient! A+++
I need to give this place a great review in light of the idiot who said false things about this place. It is small, family run, but very comfortable. The food is great, and best of all this place is CLEAN! I am nuts about that kind of thing. Their dishes are orginal Cuban style and the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food that they give you. I would have taken half a star off just for the fact that they could have a larger spanish soda selection, but I was not going to dock them a full star for that. This place really is great, and I would be the first to complain.
Good Food - Great Alternative~: I agree w/ the writer who says thank God there is more than Italian and Chinese to choose from now. I've been here sevearl times, and I am Cuban. 9 out of 10 times it's great and everyone is entitled to the occassional bad day. However I have to say I am beginning to agree with the poster who said the quality of the food used and freshness is beginning to be a factor. It's still not bad, and a good alternative. But it's not as good as it could be.
