FYI...the Bed & Breakfast is closed. Still, they will walk you down to meet all of the alpacas. Saw some really cute babies that were born this year. I guess the store is open all year long. Not that alpaca clothing is a good summer idea :) Still, buy now and be ready for winter I suppose. Nice selection, some really cool stuff for kids.

What a wonderful experience. We stayed at the Bed and Breakfast for a weekend in June. The rooms were beautiful, the welcome was warm and friendly. The breakfast was to die for!!! The staff answered all our questions regarding the animals and running an alpaca farm. We were even invited to join a party at the farm Saturday evening. Edie recommended a fabulous restaurant in Putnam that we had dinner at Saturday night. Worth the ride to go back for dinner again. I can not say enough about the beautiful gardens, the wonderful alpacas and the marvelous staff. It is truly a little bit of paradise right here in our home state. I would recommend it highly. The little yarn shoppe is marvelous, I can't wait for the web store and the bigger yarn shoppe that Edie is planning on building.
Don't listen to the locals, they don't know what they are talking about. Everyone was so wonderful and hospitable. We will be revisiting and staying at the Bed and Breakfast again. And of course we will take a day trip to see the new Cria that was born on my birthday!!

This place is terrible. Don't trust the hours, they are spotty. I drove 3 hours on a day that they should have been open and the gates were locked. I ended up a the local general store and met someone who lives in the area. They said that people are very unfriendly and outrageously expensive. They won't be getting my business anytime soon!

If the gates are locked and it should be open. Call the place and the owner will gladly open it for you.

It is true they will open up just about anytime. They have a phone number on a sign by the gates. As far as unfriendly...not sure who they are talking about. I have been there a few times and every time they have been very friendly, very hospitable. Maybe try again!
