User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGood Food, Reasonable Prices: I have been here several times for carry out. They have a lunch special for $6.00 that includes a chopped beef brisket sandwich, 2 sides, and a drink for $6.00. You just can't beat it, for the price. The food is always fresh, and the service is great. The lowfat turkey isn't as good as the brisket, but it's not bad.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsAt least a place to eat some ribs: Hickory River Smokehouse is a good place for ribs, but the price isn't that great and the atmosphere is definately that of a rib shack. Try the hot sauce; it's definately not as hot as Lil' Porgies in Champaign, but it's the best I've found in Springfield. I've tried the brisket; I didn't think care for it here.
