Kafa Authentic Ethiopian Restaurant is few blocks away. 35th street and NE 2nd ave. Nicer atmosphere and less than half Sheba's price. Th food is WOW!!!

My wife and I were part of a party of 6, and we arrived first. The rest of the party were late. We asked to be seated and were told we had to wait until the entire party arrived. Why do restaurants still follow this anti-customer policy? It is the most annoying thing. When my party did arrive, we were seated and promptly ignored by our waitstaff all night; it seemed she thought chatting with her friends and bar staff was more important than her paying customers. We had to get up from the table and GO TO HER to get her attention. It was some of the worst customer service I've had, including Lincoln Road and other South Beach restaurants that feel they can get away with it because their clientele is mostly tourists. Food was good, great even, but that does not mitigate the circumstances. If you don't care about customer service, by all means go here. As for me, I will choose to spend my hard-earned money in a restaurant that appreciates my business and doesn't treat me like dirt.

It's about time someone had the guts enough to stand up and refuse to do business with these people whose money machine is on automatic pilot. I understand that the owners of this "restaurant" are not Ethiopian, yet they want to profit from the heart of Ethiopian culture. However, the heart of Ethiopian culture is friendship, kindness and certainly hospitality. They need to put these virtues on their menu before I eat there.
