| About: | According to the Mercury News (2007), "The menu in the main restaurant is equally eclectic (compared to its wine lounge), with unusual dishes such as pumpkin borani, which features spicy peppers and garlic, and aushak, pasta filled with leek and cilantro and topped with garlic-yogurt sauce and sauteed ground beef, and simpler starters and entrees such as grilled salmon and beef, shrimp, lamb, and chicken kabobs. The owners have designed their menu to accommodate the palates of those who like spicier, more exotic dishes and those who prefer milder, well-prepared salads, vegetables, and grilled seafood and meat." Come experience this treasure in Downtown Pleasanton in either the main dining room or our relaxing wine lounge. |

My husband and I ate at Oasis and we thought the food was OK, well it was different. The wine was way overpriced and the decor was shabby at best if you look closely. The mens bathroom was embarrassing. They had just opened the full bar and the drinks were way overpriced. Even with a http://restaurant.com coupon I wouldn't eat here again.
I wish I would have seen the reviews here before driving out of my way to go to the Oasis!
love Persian food and being from L.A. it has been hard for me to find good Persian Restaurant in the Bay Area. So I talked my friend into driving to Pleasanton with me for dinner at Oasis - based on another review I read.
We both had k-Bobs which were all right, not great, but comparable to other Persian Restaurants I have been to, but the reason I am writing my first restaurant review is that I feel I should warn people. Late that evening I got a terrible stomache ache and diareah that lasted hours. Whats more when I spoke to my friend later on in the week she told me that she also got a terrible stomache ache and diareah that night!
I would never ever eat at Oasis again! And yes, it was too expensive - we skipped appetizers! Maybe luckily.....?
You know, the first time I came to Oasis Grille I was dissapointed in the food. There was nothing memoriable about it and for many months I never came back.
However, recently I went and it was "Rockstar" quality. I don't know what the change was but this is a good place to eat! Flavorful, creative, delicious are the words I'd use to describe this place. And they have a wine bar too!
Two words for you: Eat here!
