KP consistently wins awards and is always mentioned in Washingtonian and Washington Post.
The best part! It's now open 24 hours.
After eating a very bad meal in DC earlier in the day, my husband and I stumbled along this restaurant since it was close to our hotel. The line was out the door and many people were carrying to go plates. I asked my husband to park and go and inside to see what is going on: he said the seating is packed (it was 11:35 pm on a Monday night) so we chose to order take out and we took it to the hotel.
The kabab- ground meat and the chicken kabab were to die for: they were so juicy and plump and seasoned perfectly. The kabab came with rice and a pea stew/curry that was just as flavorful, in addition we got fresh tandoori bread- and each plate was under $10.
What a jem- I will tell everyone about this place.
