I just wanted to write a quick review about your resort. The people there were friendly and eager to meet our needs that we had issues with. I thought the cabin was pretty and cozy. I do believe that housekeeping and manitenance need to work better together to make sure that the cabins or rooms are ready for service when they are rented. My husband and I went here to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Upon entering the room it seemed okay. The living area and bedroom didn't have a blind over the windows. In both the living room and bedroom there was no lighting except for a small lamp in a corner. Outside there was no light that worked to find the keyhole to enter at night. We did get a blind for over the bed and lightbulbs for the living area. It wasn't until later we realized the toilet would not flush unless you took the lid off and raised a rod. We realized the $400.00 we spent on this cabin for 2 days was not what we intended. You would think the word Resort would mean a small bit of pampering. We never saw housekeeping for extra towels so of course we had to retrieve those ourselves. And let's not forget about the pet cleaning fee...$75.00. Which we were not aware of until getting there on arrival. We did get a $30.00 discount for not being told. Main thing is, when you pay what we paid for a cabin to enjoy a date that is "Special" you don't expect to have to deal with problems. That is why we get away to enjoy ourselves. I hope that housekeeping and maintenance can work better together to keep these problems from interferring with someone elses "Special Day". If housekeeping is cleaning the rooms they should notice if the lights don't work or the toilet don't flush. They can't clean in the dark. Maybe that's why there were no blinds. Maintenance can then be told of the situation. The Resort is beautiful the resturant was great but for what we paid I wish things could of been better. I think maybe I'll make the arrangements for the next trip. Even though this was my surprise from my husband for our anniversary. Maybe that's why he is a little upset. He wanted it to be "Special".
I KNOW THAT THIS MAY NOT MAKE IT ON YOUR WEB SITE. MY WIFE AND I CAME TO THE RESORT OCT.3&4/09 AND WAS VERY DISAPOINTED WITH OUR STAY THERE AT THE RESORT. YOU WOULD THINK THE WORD RESORT WOULD BE FOR THE GUEST STAY THERE, WE HAD TO GO TO MAIN OFFICE TO GET TOWELS THE COTTAGE WE RENTED DID NOT HAVE MINI BLINDS IN BED ROOM WINDOW SO WE COULD NOT HAVE A ROMATIC STAY THERE FOR OUR 30TH WEDDING ANV. THE TOLET WOULD NOT WORK UNLESS YOU TOOK THE LID OFF THE BACK AND FLUSH BY HAND, MOST OF THE LIGHTS IN THE CABIN THE BULBS DID NOT WORK. THE HOUSE KEEPING WAS BAD AND MAINTENANCE NEEDS A LOT OF WORK. I'M NOT ONE TO COMPLANE BUT WE PAID ALMOST 200.00 A NIGHT TO STAY THERE, I HOPE THIS EMAIL REACHES THIS WEB SITE SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT GO THROUGHT WHAT ME AND MY WIFE WENT THROUGH. I WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY A WIL NOT COME BACK TO THIS RESORT. DISAPOINTED MIKE HEBERT FROM LOUISIANA.
