| About: | A novel concept of a wine shop cum Japanese restaurant, Seiyo caters to the south end locals' taste buds extremely well. The two most important factors in an eatery that make it a favorite, besides the food of course, are service and location. Herein, they are good and great respectively. Amazing sushi washed down with sake and that too for a decent price. The menu can be viewed on their website online if you want to know what you're getting into before you visit. |

I have been to this restaurant a year ago and today and glad to report that the quality of the food has not deminished as so often happens with restaurants over time. They finally have a liquor license and have an interesting selection of beers (most of them are excellent.) The owner/manager/waiter is a pleasure to talk to, very responsive, and he ensures that you have a great dining experience. The decor is very pleasant. The miso soup is close to the best that I ever tried.
I have either attended or ordered delivery from this awesome place at least 20 times, so believe me when I say that the dining atmosphere along with the incredibly delicious food is an awesome thing to know you're going to get consistently in every trip you make to the restaurant or get take out or etc. It's a nice gem in a very unique part of Boston that definitely stands out tremendously. It's a total compliment to another fine restaurant located diagonally across the street from it, Toro, so that speaks volumes in my head. Keep up the excellent work Steve.
