I've been bringing both of dogs to Fishers for the last 3 years. They recently took on a new groomer, James. Today was our first experience with him and he cut several of my dogs nails to short as well as nicked the skin on my other dog. They did not even bother to let me know this happened until I called after my dogs paw started bleeding all over my couch and rug. "Unable" to issue me a refund, the owner offered to "credit me for our next nail trim". How can I trust the groomer again? Unfortunately after 3 years, we will not be bringing our dogs back.
Where do I begin?! Our puppy was due for his first grooming and so we looked all over for a place we thought would be very gentle and experienced. We decided upon Fisher's Friends. When I called, their computers were actually down, but the receptionist was very nice and took down all of our info and she called us a little bit later to schedule- she was very polite and professional about it! The day of the appointment, the groomer came out (I'm not sure which one- my honey took him) and she spent ten minutes with our puppy, petting and talking and getting to know him- how sweet! By the time she took him into the salon, he was totally calm and practically asleep! After his groom, they told us that he was the most well-behaved puppy they've ever had! He sat so nicely and even fell asleep while they were trimming his face! I was so proud and I'm extremely impressed with their professionalism and knowledge of dog behavior. Not to mention he looked and smelled SUPER!! FIVE STARS! We will be returning for life!
Friendly luxury for the furry!: What a delightful establishment. I took our poodle there and was so impressed by the staff and the surroundings we will not go anyplace else!

Hi Christine, As I explained to you on the phone, we were unaware that a nail had been trimmed too short and I apologized. This can happen when dogs nails are not trimmed regularly and are allowed to grow too long. Also, initially you told me that it was only one nail that was affected so I find it unfair that you have criticized us in this way. James did not 'nick' Maya, he shaved her sanitary area as per your request and her licking it made the area red. In our conversation I expressed to you that James did a great deal of work on your dogs and that a complete refund would be unfair to him. In an effort of good faith, since you have been such a long term customer, I offered you a substantial credit for your dogs' next grooming (not just a credit for the nail trim) but you refused. I would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss this with you without you leaving such feedback.
