Belle Pepper's Bed & Breakfast

wunderful: I was asked to survey this Bed and Breakfast for my employer. Due to the location and my work schedule I decided what better way to survey than to stay there. What a blessing it was to be there for that night. My only regret is that I could not have stayed longer. John and Pepper were excellent hosts, the property and home were immaculate, the food and company were wonderful, and needless to say my employment survey review on Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and (lack of) Exposures of the business was flawless. Thank you John and Pepper for a wunderful stay!!!!!!!!!!

An excellent stay: Belle Pepper's Bed & Breakfast was a great experience for me and my husband. We stayed with John and Pepper in April, 06. It was our first time in Joseph and it only added to our adventure to stay in such a lovely home. Our room was warm and comfortable and the bathroom private and roomy.
We sat with our hosts in the evening talking and drinking tea and in the morning we had the most delicious breakfast. Also you need to know that the view from our room was awe inspiring. These mountains are locally called "The Alps" because they are so tall and rugged. Would love to see them in the winter.
The only negative I can say is that we could not spend more time with these friendly people and get spoiled for a longer visit. Next time, and there will be a next time.

Relax and enjoy: My 16 year-old son and I enjoyed two nights at Belle Pepper's--a night before and a night after a 30- mile backpack in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Belle Pepper's is located in a stately old home on a quiet street with deer wandering the back of the property. Shops and restaurants are a block away. The B&B is informal, quiet, and restful. The breakfasts are generous and included organic produce from Pepper's garden as well as quiche, homemade muffins, and more. Pepper's husband John works as a contractor and graciously took time out of his schedule to shuttle our vehicle to one wilderness trailhead and us plus gear to another so we'd have a vehicle waiting for us at the end of our trip. When we got back for our second night we recharged on delicious homemade goodies and juice. The room and bath were lovely. Pepper and John are very gracious hosts and I'm looking forward to my next stay for snowshoeing in the spectacular Wallowas.
