About:The Riverwalk Restaurant offers waterfront dining on the shores of the York River in historic Yorktown, Virginia. The menus offered in our three dining rooms take full advantage of the wide variety of seafood available in the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Lamb, poultry, and beef are also well-represented and are prepared with both traditional and contemporary recipes.     My Family and I went to the Riverwalk on Sunday for lunch after spending sometime at the beach and found it was a delightful sight. We had gotten on the list and was told 20 - 30 minutes for waiting. I had agreed and being a small place it is when you entered I was well within eye and ear shot of the Hostess. After 30 minutes of waiting I began to wonder, then they had sat a party of 5 before us who had just came in and waited no more then 5 minutes before they had them seated. I had approached the Hostess and asked why my party of 5 wasn't seated before them and I was told that they had called our name and I had never answered even though I was only approximately 15' away, which our name was never called. They scrambled their words to make something nice to say but couldn't. After another 15 minutes they had us seated. The same girl that was trying to fumble some words to make them not at fault was also trying to apologetic to me and I wasn't buying. Besides the HORRIABLE experience of their Hostess, I would agree to the view, atmosphere and food was all good and the portions of food to price appeard to be generous. After further inquires, becareful people this is a tourist hot spot eatery and you maybe in for a bit of a wait.

    I really enjoyed the Riverwalk Restaurant. The restaurant offers a nice view of the York River. Staff was friendly and service was very good. The Calamari was EXCELLENT!!! The menu was rather simple not a ton of choices, which kind of fits into Yorktown’s smallville appeal. I had Triple Crab meal & a smoothie. The crab cake & salad sandwich was pretty good, the soup was lacking flavor. My girlfriend had Tuna Steak sandwich with a margarita which she enjoyed. She thought the margarita was fantastic… Portions were good & price was reasonable. We were satisfied & would eat there again.

    The food was very good, however we really wanted to sit outside and only the cafe allows for outdoor seating. Since the menus are not the same inside and outside you can not order from either menu if you sit outside, which would have been fine for us if we there for lunch and not dinner. We did have a window table, but really wanted to sit out side with the dinner menu.

    I would recommend going for the food and if you are there for lunch sit outside at the cafe.
