Chef Jose Zombrano is a chef like no other. We never ordered from the menu. Instead,we let the chef know if we want fish or beef and tell him to surprise us. We never leave unhappy. If time allows, the Chef will visit tables. This restaurant if for those who are willing to get out of their comfort zone and experience food at its finest. You will not find hamburgers and french fries. Instead, you might encounter, filet stuffed with bleu cheese or pecan praline pork. If you are wanting to eat lite, be sure and let the chef know this as well. Just ask to speak with him. You will not be disappointed.
This restaurant is horrible. They try and pass off frozen and canned food as fresh. I was told by the chef himself that he makes all of the desserts but I saw boxed desserts from sarah lee and the Italian cream cake is at sams for about the price you pay for one piece. Food is often times to salty and not cooked to the requested temperature you request. The wine list is horrible and the chef knows nothing about wine himself, I asked for a Pinot Noir and was told they were out and the chef suggested I have a cabernet because he believed that it was the same kind of wine. The only good thing I have to say about this place is that the servers were very friendly and attentive however that is not enough to get me to come back. I for one will never dine here again. I find it amazing that a restaurant like Mason Bleu would go out of business and this place is still up and running.
I couldn't agree more. It used to be a good place to eat. The former owner left, a cutie one, and Jo shows again that he can't run a restaurant. This is the third restaurant in the area for him that he blew it. Bad service and mediocre food. Too bad.
