Surprisingly, the first time I went to this one was about a week ago (March 2008). We were watching the tournament games and I hears rave reviews about this Hooters. It was all true. There were more than enough TVs, no matter where you sat. The service was great and the women, naturally, were decent. Food was good, too, although not great. I have a new-found appreciation for Hooters, too, because of Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays are buy one order of boneless wings, get one free. Wednesdays are $5 wings AND Big Daddy beer AND it's trivia night. Much respect to Amber, Mel, Taylor, Lilly, Jewelz, Kym, Tiara and anyone else that I have forgotten. I've recently dropped them from the top spot because of the health issues I heard about...and they eliminated some good specials.
Good wings and strips, still much to be desired...: The wings at Hooter's are above average. (breaded are better) The wing sauce selection is diverse and delivers great flavor. The beer prices are way to high for the Laurel area. $4.50 for a 24oz and around $3 for a pint when you can go to other places for a fraction or half that price for a beer. The wings can be pricey as well. $6.99 for 10. Most neighboring bars have happy hour for less than half that price. The TVs inside are too small. There is not any NTN trivia or any other attraction aside from the wait staff. For my money, there are several other better choices across the street or next door that offer much more for your money. I will still go, but not as often as other places. It does offer outside seating which is nice. Hooter's should add larger TVs and HAPPY HOUR beer and wing specials !!!!
