Gordo's Lounge & Pizza Grille

Waitress apologized for being late with fresh baked bread(even though it was early and there were only 3 other tables) then never brought any! Ordered the shrimp pesto pizza which took a pretty long time. Price was good and service was good but the wait for food was too long for as few people were thare and no bread.

We ordered a medium pan pizza for takeout, $15.56. It had good flavor but once you began to eat it all you were eating was dough. There was no substance to the pizza. We had ordered cheese, sausage, and mushroom. To our surprise there was a very thin layer of cheese, which at first glance appeared to be a large amount of cheese but once you began to eat it you soon discovered it to be nothing more than dough. There were tidbits of sausage, so small and so few that you could not taste it. Virtually no sauce and tidbits of mushrooms as well. We were led to Gordo's by the local radio station which had a contest for the best pizza in Kenosha. Gordo's being #1 and Valeo's #2. A sad disappointment. I will try Valeo's next time and see what it's like. If the pizza had been made with more than dough I would have been satisfied because it did have the flavor. We're not hard to please either. Try it for yourself.
