We visited The Big Red Barn for the first time with our 3 kiddos ages 4 and under. They all had a fun time. It is a small venue when compared to Vala's Pumpkin Patch, but The Big Red Barn does have many things to offer: petting zoo, farm animals to see up close, corn pits to play in with dump trucks and shovels, horse rides, hay rack rides, pumpkins, play sets and other play equipments, little houses for kids to play in, and even a corn maze. There is a big red barn that is full of crafty items for sale. We stayed the morning and that was about right. There are a few picnic tables to eat at, and I would recommend bringing snacks, drinks and even a picnic lunch. Overall, it was a fun place to visit for younger kids.
I have been there on 2 different years and found it to be quite enjoyable compared to their neighbor 'patch' and the one near Gretna. Their prices were fairer than the other 2 places and very good. I will go again a third time!
I had the best time out at the Big Red Barn and son did my son who has Fragile X Syndrome. This is a perfect place for families to go and relax and have fun. I was also givin the pleasure to work for Kristin and I enjoyed every minute of it. I think any one who goes will have the best time ever.
This place is very warm and welcoming to eeryone who comes to visit!!
