I was ripped by the Finance department after the salesman gave me a nice deal. I bought a Honda Pilot and to my amazement the trouble started. I was pushed into contracts that I was not aware of. I wanted to clarify on the contarcts and was rudely told that " I do not have all day!!!". I should have stopped then and there itself, but I had promised my daughter that I was bringing home a new car.
I was asked to buy "Gold Plus" contract telling me that Honda maintanence that they sell along with the car is not good. (Hope Honda is aware of this).
Yes I made a big mistake of trusting them. I have lost the trust in less than a month.
I just purchased a new vehicle there on Sunday. The sales man was great until we made the purchase final then he was a jerk. We went to drive the new car away and it was on empty, so we went back in and he and the manager both said "it is not our policy to put gas in the car". So after having the car for 1 day and laying down 20K it starts sqealing and shaking. Autofairs response is "you own it so there is nothing we can do". After going through all the paperwork and countless managers and phone calls our new car is back in the lot and my old car is back in my driveway. What a pain we are looking elsewhere.
DO NOT BUY FROM AUTOFAIR, they will scam you.
They asked our price range and proceeded to show us scratched, broken tail light, and other bad looking cars; then said they didn't have anything else in our price range. So we said ok thanks and went to leave, next thing you know the salesman (who thought it would be nice to smoke while showing us vehicals) says I will be right back and check out what else I have. He gets us interested in a SUV that was a great price! We were excited and went for a test drive, when turning it was noisy, and worst of all the bumper was not attached on one side. They said that they will take care of it AFTER we bought the car. After admitting that the bumper was a safety issue and that the 4 wheel drive was stuck in place they changed their story and insisted that nothing was wrong with the car and that it went through their billion dollar service center inspection. BUT that doesn't explain the broken bumper, the noisy steering (which during the test drive the salesman tried to convince us was a normal sound), interior car light stuck on, and the head guy couldn't get the 4 wheel drive to turn off!!!! Yet, they still tried to sell it to us at the same price and NO WARRANTY!
They don't care about the customer, just about the money. Don't be fooled. Stay away from this dealership all together if don't want to be ripped off and disappointed!
