Old Mill Inn

I had 1 of the best experiecnes at this Motel! The great hospitality started from on the phone when I made the reservations, all the way through check out time. It's not exactly a 5 star hotel, but it's clean, very close the the DTE music theater, and right on the lake. We didn't even have a room that was facing the lake. But all we had to do was walk 10 yards and it was right there.
While I was checking in, I was telling the woman about how I was suprising my husband by bringing there for a night a also to a show at the DTE. And that I was pretty much broke and we were eating snacks for the day. When she handed me my key, she slipped me a $20 and told me to take hime to dinner. I was like, I can't take that! I tried to give it back but she wouldn't have it. she told me that 1 day I will do the same thing for some1 else. kinda like a "pay it forward". So I took her advise and took my husband out for a good dinner (felt guilty doing that at the same time tho). I will repay her by doing the samething for some1 else down the road.

Nice cozy, clean and great price. Ended up staying twice in a week. First time as getaway and second to do some fishing right off back deck. Two ladies who worked front desk vey nice and Tim (ex ball player) who owns this inn was interesting to talk with and it was a pleasure for my family and myself to stay here. My only complaint was the paddle boat was dirty and water logged but other than that loved this place!!!!!

this place was alot better than i had thought I reserved it after looking online and wasn't sure what i was getting but it was close to DTE so i thought what the heck! The lady was very helpful even giving us names of the cab companies. (however i wasn't impressed with the cab company) but i can't remember that name anyway. but the place sits right on the lake and has a deck from your room. We had the last room so they let us use our portable grill and we grilled had drinks and watched the ducks. It was very relaxing. The rooms are nothing fancy but we were not in the room that much anyway. We will definately stay here again if we ever go to DTE. It is worth the price!!!!
